Photo Rejuvenation with BBL

During a photo rejuvenation procedure, the light energy delivered by the laser will gently heat up the upper layers of your skin. The heat absorbed by the targeted areas will stimulate your skin cells to generate new collagen. This will help to restore your skin to its natural beauty, blending its natural colors and making it smoother, vibrant and younger looking. In addition the photo thermal energy will target and eliminate many of the fine vessels that cause redness and the unwanted melanin responsible for pigmented lesions.

What is BBL?

BBL uses advanced dual-lamp technology with each lamp supplying half of the energy needed during treatment. This results in unsurpassed lamp lifetimes and unlimited pulses during warranty.

Its broad range of wavelengths allow targeted treatment for many skin conditions without the need for additional handpieces. Its flexible Finesse Adapters enable treatment of hard to reach areas, producing evenly treated skin.

With its user-friendly features, superior results, and no consumables, BBL is the most complete and versatile broadband light system in its class.

Can BBL photo rejuvenation treatments eliminate sun damage, freckles and brown spots as well?

In photo rejuvenation treatments for brown spot removal, the laser can eliminate some of the smaller spots and lesions on the face and neck. Freckles and age spots are usually brown in color and can cause embarrassment and low self esteem. Using BBL/IPL skin care treatments can be an appropriate method for these types of lesions and it does not cause bruising or excessive redness.

Rosaccea

While there is currently no ‘cure’ for rosacea, the chronic symptoms often associated with rosacea can be treated effectively with BBL/IPL photo rejuvenation. The good news is that once you’ve removed those blood vessels, it takes a very long time for them to come back. Once they are removed with BBL photo rejuvenation treatment, if someone uses sunscreen everyday, they might not need to have any further laser treatment from two to eight years, maybe longer. Reducing sun exposure is imperative to prevent further vessels from developing. If a patient makes an effort to avoid sun exposure which will aggravate rosacea (by wearing a strong sunscreen daily), blood vessels may not return for years.

What area can be treated with photo rejuvenation?

Any area of your body can be treated. The most common areas are those most exposed to the damaging effects of sun light. The most popular treatments are for the face, neck, back of the hands, chest and shoulders.

How many photo rejuvenation treatments will I need?

Photo rejuvenation is done in 2 to 5 treatments, with intervals of 2 to 4 weeks in between each treatment, depending on desired results. You may benefit from additional treatments depending on the severity of your condition.

How long will it take to recover from a photo rejuvenation procedure?

Photo rejuvenation is a non-invasive and gentle procedure with virtually no down time. In most cases you will be able to return to work, apply makeup, and resume most of your activities right away.

What should I expect from each photo rejuvenation treatment?

You may experience some redness that should resolve within a few hours. For some pigmented lesions you will see a darkening of the treated areas followed by a fading and flaking off at a later stage. Your treated skin will fell smoother, pores will be less noticeable, and sun spots or uneven pigmentation will fade.

Acne treatments

Acne is a common disorder resulting from the action of hormones and other substances on the skin’s oil glands, sebaceous glands and hair follicles. Propionibacterium acnes (P. acnes) is the anaerobic bacterium that causes acne. Severe acne can lead to permanent scarring. With proper treatment, the procedure will lead to collagen remodeling, proliferation of active fibroblasts, and treating over-acting sebaceous glands that result in the reduction of acne and improvement of scarring.
