Chemical Peels

Chemical peels remove the outer layers of skin, epidermis and sometime superficial dermis prompting the body to generate new skin cells, new collagen to surface and to replace the old one.

Who is a good candidate for a chemical peel?

The natural turnover of the skin is less than 30 days when we are in our 20s, slows down with the aging process to 45 days or more when we are in our 40s. Chemical peels speed up the natural turnover and help the skin exfoliate, treat sun damaged skin, acne, wrinkles, large pores or pigmentation problems. Anyone after the age of 30 or with problematic skin issues like acne, scars, pigmentation, sun damage is a good candidate.
